It will be fine to use VCDS. If your car already has LED xenon's then it will support LED taillights.  happy2

Thanks for the reassurance. Ya.. my GTI came with LED headlights and i thought there weren't gonna be errors after installing the Golf R tails. Guess i was wrong!  signLOL

Edit: Even though with stock LED Xenons it didnt support the R Tail lights. I haven't tried VCDS yet. I'm waiting to see if someone in the same build year as mine has tried recoding to get rid the errors.

Check out the blinkings on my GTI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrVc1rxYbBs

Here's how I changed my stock Taillights for the R tinted LED Taillights  innocent

This was completed on a 09 Model UK spec car  happy2

The Parts: -

1x 5K0 945 093 Q (Inner Light)
1x 5K0 945 094 Q (Inner Light)
1x 5K0 945 095 L (Outer Light)
1x 5K0 945 096 L (Outer Light)

NOTE - For Left Hand Drive cars only the inner lights need to be ordered differently, these are part numbers 5K0 945 093 P & 5K0 945 094 P

Steve,
A couple of Q's
The video above was that with Right hand drive lamps fitted as you seem to have the reversing light on the drivers side  confused ?

The part numbers last letter seem to have changed for some reason when i enquired.

5K0 945 093 Q (Inner Light)
5K0 945 094 Q (Inner Light)
5K0 945 095 Q (Outer Light)
5K0 945 096 Q (Outer Light)

Thanks. That had me wondering about the video.
I was told AG is only for cars cars built after March 2011 and Q is for earlier cars.
