With me looking for some more power on my new car it is one more part towards the puzzle that is a perfect Mk6 GTI.

So today I took a trip to ITG to meet up with Wigit (who had the same fitted to his Rocco).

I previous had an ITG intake on my Mk5 Edition 30 and was really please with the results it produced, so when the opportunity came up today to get a first version of a development kit I though it would be rude not to try it.

I took some time out to do some logging on mine (which is just running a Revo Stage 1 remaps so far) this morning before having the kit installed and the peak airflow I was recording was 197g/s at the MAF. After the kit was installed by Andy @ ITG I repeated the logging and found a pleasing increase of 16g/s which based on the VCDS "butt-dyno" calculation is giving an increase of around 20bhp  Smiley

Some more improvements are expected with some further changes to the scope and the connections on the remaining parts of the standard intake pipe and turbo connections.

So far the kit replaces the standard airbox/filter and joins to the MAF housing with a short section of silcon. Should be available within a few weeks all being well.

Here are some quick pic's: -

I've replied on the other forum too Steve but have to say that looks a beast.

Do you notice much quicker spool up with that fitted?

Should really bring out the best in the REVO map with all the extra air going in.  happy2

Yep spool is a little quicker and the peak power is nearer to 6,000 RPM rather than 5,200 without the intake  happy2

So is there a reason the filter housing is stainless steel?  Seems like a big heat trap to me.  And why is the filter housing opening oval, and not rectangle to fit the inlet above the grill?
