was in dealer today and looked at a red 3 door with cloth and pestered hime for a test drive, i really loved it and hand on heart prefered it to the scirocco, i know £ for £ its more, but in reality it looks the more quality product in the flesh with some nice detailing, dealer reckons he will flog me a 3 door golf R next and i reckon he is right  happy2

Popped down to my local dealership today to have a look at the MK6 GTI they have in, 5dr in black.

I must say I was really impressed with the overall look of the car, made more sense from a historical point of view too (ie the two lines on the grille), loved all the little details on the car, which can be missed looking at pictures, like the smaller honeycomb pattern behind the VW grille badge.

I'll definitely get one at some point.  happy2

I do love the grille pattern. What's so historical about the two stripes? chicken
