Have you got something on the passenger seat?
Or if you have the rear seat airbags something on the rear seat?
Im guessing you have your seatbelt on  Grin
Does it stop if you buckle up the passenger seat belt? It maybe a faulty sensor in that seat or a faulty sensor in the buckle on the drivers seat

I am aware of placing anything weighty on the passenger seat (apart from SWMBO) and it activating the sensor. Not sure about the rears though will have to check.
Thought it could be down to a faulty sensor too. Does it show on VAGCOM ? Whats the error code ??

I don't think the rears are monitored, doesn't take a lot for the car to think theres something on the seat, could even be down to worn seat bases?

Jimble, if you have the optional rear seat airbags fitted (down the side of the seat) then it has the sensors in the rear seats too.
