I am pretty sure the 0575 software version supported these.

There is an option on mine which turns off the cold diagnostics for the Number plate lights which would apply if the LEDs were fitted.
I Have 575 software version.

Mines the same software but i don't currently have a personal working laptop so not been able to check. So thank you for doing that.
Looks like they may work on mine then. jumpmove

Tried this today by just disconnecting the rear number plate lights,

Bulb warning appeared immediately, unticked that bit and bulb warning disappeared so looks like it works  happy2

This site seems to say you need software version 615 or higher to code them in properly and if im reading it correctly that turning off the cold diagnostics on the older control unit does not fix it 100%  confused

Reading the German forums it seems that turning the cold diagnostics off works for so long but every so often it kicks up a bulb out warning.
I think the newer unit has different software with different option.
I do hope they work as if they do and you have a month or so of trouble free running i will get myself a set. Smiley
Let me know how it goes.

Just read THIS THREAD as well and it doesn't look promising so I may just cancel the order.

*edit* Just cancelled this as I don't want to start adding resistors or buying a new BCM which seems to be necessary.

Looks like the BCM needs HW ver 103 and SW ver 650 or above.  Sad

Thats more or less the info i got from the two threads i linked to earlier. The sad thing is they woek on the mk5 as the mk5 does not test the number plate lights.

Has anyone tried using these adapters for this?
http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/product_info.php/info/p9003_c325_Adapter-LED-number-plate-light---VW.html

It says you won't get the errors on the dash, they're probably just resistors.
