Hi guys first time on the mk6 board.


I'm seriously considering a move to a mk6 GTD.

Been scouring t'nternet thingy for reviews etc and came across this

Bit low from figures i have seen and read elsewere in magazines etc and from owners on another forum.
Its about 40-43 average ~10mpg higher than a GTI.

From the time I spent with one (about a week) it was on average 39, so 8-9 more than my GTI.

My journeys are stop-start at peak times and I get around 42mpg

On a good run inc.motorways I can get top 50s and I font drive at 56mph ;)

On full road test for Volkswagen Driver magazine (Sep 09) we recorded 46.7 mpg overall (full week / 1000+ mixed mileage inc performance testing) and recorded 68.9 on a special economy drive...
